Retimers on module or board?

u-boot/board/solidrun/lx2160a/eth_lx2160acex7.c is configuring retimers on certain serdes configurations.

are these retimers part of the CEX7 COM itself? or are they part of the clearfrog carrier board?

The retimers are on implemented on the carrier board. They are only connected for the serdes lanes doing 25Gbps and higher.
