Management console on LX2162A

Hello!

I’m using ClearFog LX2162A. Is it possible to organize some kind of remote management (at least power on/off and reset of LX2162A SOM) without using external RunBMC module? Due to schematics Clearfog LX2162A contains MCU (LPC5514) for these purposes but it is connected to RunBMC. May be it is somehow possible to do remote control without RunBMC using only MCU?

The RunBMC related parts never left prototyping status, for now there is no management of any kind.
