Lost Access to N-SolidSense IoT Gateway Web UI After WAN0 Configuration Change (DHCP Disabled)

Hi all,

I’m having a serious issue with my N6 SolidSense IoT Gateway, and I could really use some help.

After making some changes to the WAN0 interface (specifically, disabling DHCP), I’ve completely lost access to the device’s Web UI via its IP. I believe it’s no longer picking up an IP address or responding on the one it had before.

Here’s what I’ve attempted so far:

  • Tried editing /etc/network/interfaces over the serial console to re-enable DHCP or assign a static IP—but changes don’t seem to save or take effect after reboot.
  • Looked through the Eclipse Kura folders on the system, but modifying configs there hasn’t helped restore connectivity either.
  • The gateway is otherwise booting and accessible via serial, so I’m not locked out entirely—but I’m stuck without web access and no network connectivity.

At this point, I’m trying to figure out:

  1. How to properly re-enable DHCP on WAN0, or
  2. Manually set a static IP that will persist and be honored after reboot, or
  3. Reset the network configuration to factory/default without wiping everything else.

If anyone has worked with the N6 or knows how SolidSense handles persistent network settings (Kura or otherwise), I’d be very grateful for any pointers.

Thanks in advance!

I am working on finding an answer for you. Would a factory reset work for you?

Good Morning Mr Jon

The device has wirepas, mqtt and kura installed in it, I do not know if a factory reset will remove those installations which I myself do not know how to re-install

The factory reset, should only reset the configurations back to the “default” settings it will not remove any software

Thats duable through the Web ui no? because I cannot access it due to the dhcp issue, I essentially need a physical method to do it
