Thank you
It is standard PCIe, so any wireless module that uses PCIe and has Linux drivers should work.
Hy
I take black my Topic.
I tried to install a mini pcie card wifi 6e based on Intel ax210 to create an access point.
A priori, Intel isn’t really good for Linux : i Can use only 2.4ghz band.
Have Someone an Idea about a cars compatible with Linux not Intel?
Thank you by advance
Hi Doudootiana,
I was redirecting to this tab:
WPEQ-268AXI
or specific for AP mode:
WPEQ-276AX
what do you think?
It is my understanding that these modules should be fully supported since kernel 5.10 as long as you have the proper firmware. What does your iw phy phy0
output report as the capabilities of the device?
@Webfortec
Hello.
It looks like good
Thank you.
I will see for the second and tell you.
Thank you again
Thank you to anwser me.
I used the firmware recommended by Intel : iwlwifi-ty-a0-gf-a0-72.ucode
I tried with older firmware too.
Before i launch Hostapd, this is the output of teh command line iw phy info :

Some forum tell that intel card don't work for wifi AP no 2.4ghz. :(
I just did some googling after seeing this, and apparently Intel’s firmware does not allow their “client” cards like the AX210 to enable AP mode for 5/6 GHz, only 2.4GHz. This is not a driver or hardware issue, just an Intel firmware limitation.
Throwing another option out there: mt7916, from Mediatek. It has dual-band dual concurrency (DBDC) and has worked well for me thus far. I’ve not tested wifi 6e yet, but it’s supported.
I picked up a couple from AsiaRF.
Oh I will need to check it out. I like that it is Dual Band Dual Concurrent so can handle 2.4 and 5/6GHz simultaneously. Not a bad price either.
