Clearfog pro and mpcie ec-25e : didn't see the sim card

Hy,

I tried to install an 4g connection.

My card is detected but not the sim card.
I test the sim card in a smartphone: it works.
I test the wwan card in a router : can see the sim card.

I put the card in the mcpie 1.
I have only 1 sim slot.

In the diagramm, there is a microsim slot, but on my card i have only a normal slim slot .
come the problem from it?

Thanks by advance

Check out my thread on the topic:

Clearfog Pro - MPCIE LTE Card (Quectel EC25) Not Detected

The TLDR is:

  1. The EC25 uses USB, and the mPCIE slot with sim (near SOC) is not connected to usb. The sim slot you are using applies ONLY to the mPCIE slot closest to the SOC.
  2. The far mPCIE slot supports USB, but the SIM slot does not come soldered to the clearfog board. You need to solder a holder to the board or use a mPCIE sim adapter.

Details are in my thread.

Hy
thank you to answer.

I will see a mpcie card or like you sim, one with sim adaptater

Hy again ^^

Hope that my Question will not be silly but :
If i undersrood well :

-Slot mpcie closer sim slot is linked to sim slot, without USB connection.
-Slot mpcie further sim slot has the USB connection.

So, the lte/4g card must be installed in the slot mpcie further sim slot(to use USB connection).

Is the USB connection hardware or can be attributed to the other slot mpcie thanks to the dts?

My phrasing was a little confusing. Your interpretation is correct.

Unfortunately, it’s a hardware shortcoming - they simply didn’t connect the pins to the SOM. So, yes, you need to use the far slot, but there is no attached SIM holder. You gotta solder one to the bottom of the board or use an expansion card with a sim slot. I’m using this one, until I get around to soldering the holder:

It’s a few mm too long, but you can still close the case.

thank you again to answer me

I will do like you, with an adaptator
