TI Sitara AM64x multi core product family offers energy efficient and cost effective building blocks for the industrial applications of tomorrow. The TI Sitara AM64x SOM is built around the TI Sitara AM64x series of SoCs that include up to 4 x Cortex R5F cores for tasks such as servo drive control, robot motion control, factory automation and any task that requires high precision, low latency and real time control over the equipment. The R5F cores are able to run at up to 800Mhz each and offer a total of 6,400 DMIPS. In addition, the SOM also features up to 2 x Cortex A53 application processors to run embedded Linux distributions for the OS level, allowing to do compute, real-time processing and control and offloading on a single platform.
