Running FreeBSD on Bedrock R7000

Hello,

I think about buying a Bedrock R7000 to run FreeBSD (either 14.x or 15).
Does any one here has tried FreeBSD on this hardware? Any known pitfall / incompatibility?

thank you all

The bedrock R7000 is really no different than any laptop with the same APU in it. If FreeBSD is supported on that platform then it should run on the Bedrock just fine.

Thanks!
FreeBSD is known to be picky about the laptops it can run on.
I see FreeBSD seems to run on the Bedrock 3000, and I know there is some success with Ryzen 7 7840U laptops. But no certainty before trying.

After few months I can say I’m really happy with my FreeBSD Bedrock 7000. It runs great!
Now I wonder if an Hailo-8 would be a nice addition to my config

I don’t believe that the Hailo BSP currently supports BSD’s. Perhaps you could run it in a Linux VM in passthrough PCIe mode.

That’s what I had in mind
No support for FreeBSD at all, for Hailo hardware.

yep, saw your other post. If FreeBSD supports the AMD mmu then you should have no problem with PCIe passthrough.
