# Updating imx8-solidrun layer

Hi everyone, I would like to build an updated yocto system with the latest layers, Is it possible to update manually this hardknott layer to kirkstone layer or this is a too hard job?

I have readapted the syntax until bitbake process doesn’t return any syntax error, but now the problem is different.

| make[1]: \*\*\* No rule to make target ‘arch/arm64/boot/dts/freescale/imx8mp-hummingboard-pulse.dtb’. Stop.  
| ERROR: oe\_runmake failed  
| WARNING: exit code 1 from a shell command.  
| make: \*\*\* [/home/ubuntu/yocto\_mixed/build-xwayland-imx8mpsolidrun/tmp/work-shared/imx8mpsolidrun/kernel-source/Makefile:1400: freescale/imx8mp-hummingboard-pulse.dtb] Error 2

I have checked the directory but I can find a hummingboard-pulse.DTS file, not DTB, and imx8mq, not imx8mp. Which layer is the responsible layer of build these files structures?
