Hi

I noticed that there’s an option for PCIe bifurication in the uefi firmware which isn’t built by default. Has anyone tried this?

I’d like to convert the x8 PCIe slot into two x4 slots for some additional NVMe drives.

Cheers
Luke

Yes it is a build time option. I am working on making it a runtime option in the edk2 firmware.

There are many customers using this option with various passive bifurcation adapters. It will work fine with an x8 to 2x x4 m.2 adapter adapters.

thanks, saves a lot of money compared to pcie switches.
